The Grand Care Experience
Each child at Grand Care is exposed to new skills and challenges with hands-on activities. Children have time each day for free play with a wide variety of age-appropriate toys and activities. They are encouraged to express themselves through art and music, to think creatively and cooperatively in the dramatic play area, or to acquire pre-math skills in the block area. Our curriculum also includes books and a print-rich environment to encourage a love of reading.
Science and social studies activities are designed to help children understand their world; critical thinking skills and self-help skills enable children to become successful and well-rounded individuals. Outdoor activities on our playgrounds and spacious campus enable children to appreciate nature throughout the year. Parents receive information about their child’s day, and monthly newsletters from the Center and United Methodist Homes keep them informed about Center events. Family activities are planned throughout the year as a way for families to become acquainted.
