Giving to United Methodist Homes
At United Methodist Homes, we believe it’s important to take a holistic view of successful aging. Those most likely to age well have good physical and psychological health as well as a social support network. Successful aging is not just the absence of chronic illness, but the presence of life satisfaction.
The United Methodist Homes Foundation was created as the fundraising component of United Methodist Homes. Our mission is to enrich the lives of those we serve by providing critical resources to meet resident and campus needs, ensure continuity of care, and deliver enhanced programming for vibrant and active senior living. Donations to the Foundation directly support all campuses in continually improving the quality of life and ensuring successful aging.

Areas of Giving
Resident Assistance Programs
The Resident Assistance Program benevolence program is one of United Methodist Homes’ greatest needs. The generosity of others has enabled the Foundation to quietly distribute funds through the program, filling the gap for those that have exhausted their financial means. Many residents in our Assisted Living and Personal Care facilities receive financial assistance that helps cover the cost of their care at United Methodist Homes. “I don’t know of any other organization like this that supports their residents the way you do. That’s one reason we chose to move here. We wish more people that could give, would. The need is only going to grow in the future.” – Dan & Bette Knight, Donors & Residents
Major Gift & Memorial Funds
In an effort to ensure that all our campuses are truly home for our residents, we continually make improvements. Major Gift & Memorial Funds allow us to grow, renovate, and improve both the indoor and outdoor living spaces. Many families use this opportunity to renovate a space in honor or in memory of a loved one. A Foundation representative would be happy to talk with you about naming options that would be meaningful to you and your family.
Campus Specific Giving Funding
Campus Specific Giving Funding supports programs, events, or items proposed by both residents and staff. This unique opportunity allows the staff to have a voice in areas of need and provide items and programs that will be most beneficial to their residents.
Unrestricted Donations
Unrestricted Donations enable us to focus dollars where the need is greatest in any of our program areas. Unforeseen circumstances or opportunities may arise. Unrestricted dollars allow the staff and Foundation to discern the best possible use of those funds.

How You Can Help
Caring. Connection. Community. Together, we can make a meaningful difference. That’s why your support matters. We are a community of people who care and are connected by the bond that is United Methodist Homes.
Charitable donations come in all shapes and sizes, and all are important to the Foundation. We’re happy to accept the type of donation that best fits your circumstances. One time donations, recurring gifts, pledges, bequests, life insurance, charitable gift annuities, securities, and trusts are just some of the ways you can financially assist the United Methodist Homes Foundation.
