As we’re gearing up for all the fun that springtime brings, we’re taking a moment to look back at one of our favorite winter traditions at Hilltop Campus…
When the Christmas season comes to a close, the trees don’t go far—they take on a whole new life in our auditorium, transforming it into a wintery “forest” for our annual Deer Hunt & snowball fight!
Staff members don reindeer antlers and hide among the trees, while residents join in on the fun, aiming their (Nurf!) guns in a lighthearted and laughter-filled “hunt.” The excitement doesn’t stop there—residents also enjoy an epic snowball fight with foam snowballs flying every which way!
It’s creative, it’s a little chaotic, and it’s full of joy—just the way we like it. 💙

In honor of National Social Worker Month in March, we’re proud to share that Visiting Angels - Wilkes-Barre announced our very own Nancy and Shannon from Wesley Village Campus as the winners of their Social Worker Appreciation Contest! 🏆
To celebrate, Visiting Angels hosted a well-deserved pizza party and presented them with a plaque in recognition of their outstanding work and the meaningful impact they make each day. Nancy and Shannon’s compassion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the residents and families they serve truly set them apart. 🌱 A little dirt never hurt anyone!
Residents in the Sun Unit at Hilltop Campus spent the afternoon getting their hands dirty repotting plants for both staff and themselves. With about 10 plants to refresh, five residents jumped right in to help while another five happily served as our “official commentators.” The spectators kept everyone laughing with remarks like, “Wow, look at the mess they are making—hope they don’t ask us to help clean it!” 😄
It was a fun, lighthearted afternoon filled with teamwork, laughter, and a little extra greenery to brighten everyone’s day. 🌿
