It's that time of year again! Brooks Estates residents have officially kicked off the 4th Annual "Go, Ron!" fundraiser, raising money for @WNEP-TV 's meteorologist, Joe Snedeker's annual bike fundraising tour for St. Joseph's Center. We kicked off this year's fundraiser at our July 4th BBQ. The gals from Saint Joseph's Center even stopped by to help us celebrate!
The #GoJoe29 theme is "Red, White, and You!" — and our residents got the memo!
For four years running, our residents have shown up with heart and generosity to support children and families in need right here in our community — and this year is no exception! We're so proud of our residents for leading the way. Stay tuned as we share more throughout the campaign! ❤️🤍💙

60 years married and still going strong! 🎂💍
Sandra — a former CNA right here at ECM Allen — and her husband just celebrated 60 YEARS together! He surprised her with a cake and everyone's hearts melted. 🥹
Their formula for six decades of love? Loyal trips down south, a shared love of chips, quality nap time, and never once going to bed angry.
Oh, and he still calls her "Snoopy" 🐾
Happy 60th Anniversary to the Ockenhouses — you two are an inspiration! 🎉

✨This 4th of July is a really big deal for our country! ✨Across our communities, staff and residents alike are gearing up for America's 250th Birthday! Decorations and party prepping has officially kicked into high gear!
Today, at Wesley Village Campus, the dietary staff across the entire community held a decorating contest. They state they are competing with each other and that it's all in good fun and it doesn't really matter who wins. The real winners are always the residents! This is for them!
Tomorrow, we commemorate 250 years of freedom, progress, and the enduring spirit of independence. Wishing everyone a safe, spectacular, and star-spangled 4th of July weekend! 🎆🎇 #America250 #4thofJuly #vibrantseniorliving

Summer is here, and with the heat climbing, a little awareness goes a long way. 🌞 Heat exhaustion and heat stroke can come on quickly, especially for older adults, so knowing the warning signs matters.
Take a moment to review the difference between the two below. Heat exhaustion is your body’s warning sign to slow down, rest, and hydrate. Heat stroke is a medical emergency that calls for 911 right away.
Whether you’re checking in on a loved one, a neighbor, or yourself, staying cool and staying hydrated keeps everyone safer this season. 💧
